Hi, I’m Omer. I was born and raised in Tel Aviv, with a two-year adventure in New York — and that’s where it all began. My background is in sustainability (I hold both a BA and a MSc) and for years I worked in tech, in all kinds of roles.

When I came back to Israel, life shifted. After losing my dad — the biggest personal challenge I’ve ever faced — I decided to follow my dreams and create something that truly brings together all the pieces of who I am: a love for aesthetics, a passion for good living, a deep care for the environment, and a desire to build something meaningful.

That’s how Gemma was born.
Every candle is hand-poured with natural, clean ingredients and designed with vessels that live on — to be reused, cherished, and become part of your everyday rituals.

The name Gemma is a tribute to my father, Yali Topaz. Topaz is a gemstone, and Gemma means “precious stone” in Latin — a way to keep his memory close, while creating something beautiful and lasting.

At Gemma, luxury meets intention: timeless design, natural materials, and the belief that a candle is just the beginning.
